Record-high enrolment in US this year

The Institute for International Education's new Open Doors report reveals that the number of international students at US colleges and universities has topped 720,000 this year. This represents a record-high enrolment for the US and a five percent increase over the 2009/10 academic year. The US gains are being led by a significant increase in the number of Chinese students studying in America. Overall, there were 23% more Chinese students enrolled in US higher education this year, including a dazzling 43% increase at the undergraduate level.
